Welcome to The Hippo Project
Annemarie McInerney Scully was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, teacher and friend. Her life revolved around helping others, especially children. When she died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2022, the outpouring of kindness and support for her family was a beautiful testament to the profound impact she had on so many.
The Hippo Project is designed to honor her memory and spark good in the world. For us - her family and friends who she left behind - this community will create a dedicated space where we can actively honor and remember Annemarie every single day. We will miss her forever and because of that, forever is how long we’ll seek to honor her legacy.

Annemarie’s favorite animal was always the hippopotamus. Because, of course it was. Like her favorite animal, she possessed fierce and loving maternal instincts. The Hippo Project seeks to provide inspire all to find large and small ways to help children everyday.
